Materials

There are many ways in which pop art is produced, there are multiple uses of materials in different ways. One of the most popular ways of producing Pop Art was silk screening, this was used by Andy Warhol to give an effect of a painting but that could be mass produced. Other artists used multiple layers to give different aspects of each of the final peices, this gave individuality to that peice and drew your eye to different parts of the piece; an artist who did this was Robert Rauschenberg who encorporated glass, metal, mirror into his designs.

Untitled is a peice created by Rauschenberg using materials form everyday life, things that are so obvious that are looked past; but what he was trying to do what give back the authenticity of the basics. This is a list  obtained from:
